Description

The Sherpa 50 Solar Kit gives you self sufficient power when you are off the grid. These days spending time at a mountaineering base camp, on a photography trip or working holiday all require maintaining power to multiple large devices such as laptops, SLR cameras, tablets and communication gear not to mention all the small devices we've become used to. When you need a reliable output up to 19V, you need to step it up to the Goal Zero Sherpa 50.

With a whopping 58Wh (11V, 5200mAh) battery capacity and a 13W solar panel you will always be able to keep power to the devices you need in the great outdoors. The battery features multiple output options to charge different devices most efficiently and is built to withstand the harshest of environments.

AC power at 220V is also available from the Sherpa 50 Solar kit with the AV inverter (sold separately).

*The Sherpa 50 will not power a Mac Book Pro without the AC inverter. But if you do require this we suggest the Sherpa 100 instead.

Ask a Question
  • how much does the equipment weigh I am researching a Camino walking trip and weight is an issue any subjections on complete package would be appreciated regards Bob

    Hello,

Thanks so much for your question, the power bank Sherpa 50 comes in at 544grams and the panel is 726grams so 1.27kg in total. To be completely honest it's not the lightest weight option if you're gram counting on the Camino trail. In my honest opinion the only reason you'd need something this big is if your were running a few DSLR camerals and a laptop, and even then as you can normally charge at the the guest houses each night a few spare SLR batteries are much lighter.

If you want to get in touch feel free to ring me direct on 0431 586 988 or the shop on 02 9286 5888 and we'd be happy to talk through options. If you're wanting to charge smaller devices (phones, smaller cameras, GPS etc.) then you could go a much smaller and lighter solar kit like the Venture 30 battery pack (https://mountainequipment.com/collections/solar-portable-power/products/venture-30-battery-pack) . Certainly enough to see you for backup power between guest houses and at 250grams much lighter.

My email is web@mountainequipment.com if you also want to get in touch that way.

    Kind Regards,

    Matt Eaton
