Important notice - Petzl recall of Pirana Descender
Petzl Pirana Descender Recall
If you own the latest generation of Petzl Pirana the company has requested that you stop using it immediately and please return it via the official link HERE.


The reason raised is a design issue where the rope can get accidentally stuck in the blocking slot and if abseiling into a pool or through a waterfall there could be a risk of drowning.


Affected models are sold after July 2019 and have model numbers D005AA00 and D005AA01. Please note that the previous generation of Pirana Descender is NOT affected by this recall.
