Description

Rethink belaying! The Edelrid Ohmega is a belay break assistant that works a treat whether you and your climbing partner are 10kg difference or 30+kg difference and even rope parties of the same weight. It's perfect for indoor and outdoor sport climbing, multi pitch climbing and even trad.

The Ohmega Belay Assistant Device features an integrated pulley that reduces friction at the first bolt compared to a quickdraw, ensuring smooth climbing and clipping even on challenging routes. Its short HMPE sling minimizes activation distance, allowing the belayer to deliver dynamic, gentle belays that lower the risk of impact injuries. In a fall, the cam mechanism controls the descent, supporting the belayer and preventing them from being lifted off the ground. For low-height falls, the Ohmega’s braking effect helps avoid collisions between climber and belayer and reduces the chance of ground impact.
