The La Sportiva G2 EVO is the second iteration of the G2 line which has broken new ground with maximum warmth for minimum weight in alpine boots. Now the new model is even warmer and more practical on the world's most demanding high altitude climbs and most freezing temperatures. 

La Sportiva developed the G2 line in conjunction with Simone Moro and can be summed up by - fast, light, technical, practical. The general rule with insulation is that bulk equals warmth. While this is find with jackets and most things, trying to climb technical terrain in huge bulky boots is not so fun. Thanks to some ingenious development and materials,  the overall outer volume of the G2 Evo is extremely contained but yet still has amazing warmth. While Simone will happily take these G2 EVO's on his 8000m alpine ascents, a general rule for us "standard" climbers is that they're ideal for 6000-7000m+ mark. 

The double boot construction is a must for long periods at altitude or in the cold and not only adds insulation but also has the added safety bonus of being able to easily dry out the inners at night, insuring you have dry feet the next day. The BOA dials both on the inner and outer boots have been thoroughly tested in the worlds most extreme environments and are by far the easiest thing to deal with when in gloves or mitts to tension or fit your boots on the fly.

• Outer Gaiter made of water-repellent stretch Cordura® which has an extremely high resistance to abrasion. It's seams are welded with Ultrasonic Welding technology and also feature internal thermo-taping. Plus there's also a water-repellent inner gusset
  
• Inner Shell is made of a 4-layer insulating structure consisting of water-repellent Cordura®, anti-drag insulating felt, polyethylene insulating barrier, and aluminium layer that reflects the heat produced by the foot
  
• The Lacing System is a Double Boa® Fit System. Inside the gaiter for the upper part, and external for quick adjustment of the lower part.
  
• Removable sockliner is made of High-Cut 6 mm PE + Eva Single Density with Flex Zone and double hook&loop closure. They are super comfortable and quick to dry
  
• The insole is a HoneyComb 3 mm insulating carbon
  
• Midsole is 2 mm polyurethane with differentiated thickness with crampon hook on the heel and toe
  
• The Sole is Vibram® Mattehorn with Impact Brake System differentiated lugs
  
• Weight is 1.050 g (1/2 pair)
