They also have design and function details that come into their own in extreme cold and when using thick gloves or mitts. If you're climbing over 6500m or looking at an exposed expedition in the arctic regions then this is the place to look. 

Please note: Only products suitable for the most extreme environments possible make it onto this insulation category. If you are climbing peaks up to 7500m there may also be suitable garments in the general "Insulation" category.
