Photon Pants

Description

Like a puffy jacket for your legs! If you need warmth without the weight or pack size, you need the Rab Photon Pants. With Primaloft Gold insulation, these things are super warm but because they are so light and compress down so small you'll hardly notice them in your pack. The Rab Photon Pants are a favourite amongst alpine climbers and backcountry skiers, however anyone going to cold environments or at altitude will totally appreciate them. 

The Rab Photon insulating pant feature a full length side zipper meaning that you can put these on right over your normal pants without taking your boots, crampons or skis off. Also make sure you don't put these Rab pants in a box only reserved for the most extreme conditions. They are just as useful to high altitude Himalayan mountaineering as they are to people winter camping at Island Bend in the Snowy Mountains. 

You can use the Rab Photon Insulating Pants in two main ways:

• As a belay jacket for your legs. When climbing or skiing in freezing conditions, you are often warm enough whilst you're moving however you may get cold when you stop to belay, eat or set up camp. With the full length side zippers simply put them over the top of your shell or soft shell pants without taking off your boots, crampons or skis. 
• As a warm mid layer. Because the Rab Photon pants are ultra breathable you can wear them as a mid layer beneath your shell. If during the day they become too warm simply drop your shell pants to your ankles, take off your Rab Photon Pants pants via the full length zippers, then pull your outer pants back up. Obviously the reverse can be done if the weather rolls in and temperature drops.
