Description

Sterling have never compromised their standards on designing and manufacturing the best ropes in the world. This means they are freaking great climbing ropes. But it also means that they are at the upper end of the price bracket....

Enter the VR9 9.8mm climbing rope!

The VR9 series of climbing ropes is the ultimate rope for the price conscious and is a result of trickle down technology from their top tiered ropes. The 9.8mm diameter sits right in the sweet spot of being durable enough for working sport routes, and lightweight enough to drag up multi-pitches. These climbing ropes still feature Sterling's DryCore which helps it retain most of its strength in the event of it getting wet. The quality of manufacturing in the USA factory is also second to none.

This 60m length is the industry standard for climbing ropes. Most (but not all) single pitch climbing routes out there have pitches of 30m or less so a 60m rope means you can easily clip the anchors and lower to the ground. Also "generally" speaking a lot of rappels into climbs are set up for a 60m rope to be folded over and pulled through.
