Unlike many other mats with round side walls, the 3D shape of the Vaude Hike 9M means more usable sleeping area right to the edge. Other points to note are the robust and easy to use 2-way flat valve as well as the method Vaude have used to weld the internal insulation to the top creating the most warmth for the least weight.
