Description

The Mont Batwing Ultralight Thru-Hiker Tarp is a versatile, lightweight shelter designed for hikers and campers who want reliable protection from rain and sun without carrying the weight and bulk of a conventional tent. With multiple pitching options, a compact packed size and fast setup, the Batwing is particularly well suited to thru-hiking, lightweight backpacking and adventures where flexibility and pack weight matter.

The tarp is constructed from durable 20D rip-stop Nylon with a double silicone coating and a 3000 mm waterhead rating, providing dependable protection from rain while keeping weight to a minimum. Ballistic Nylon reinforcement at the guy points adds durability in areas subject to increased tension.

Mont's unique Hold-Em-All support pocket securely grips the handle of a trekking pole while the pole tip is planted firmly in the ground. This creates a stronger and more secure support system for the extended arrow-shaped ridgeline while reducing the chance of the pole slipping or the shelter collapsing.

The Batwing can be pitched in multiple configurations to suit different conditions and campsites. It can also be used with the optional Mont Batcave Thru-Hiker Mesh Inner to create a lightweight enclosed shelter, giving you additional flexibility when protection from insects is required.
