Adaptable - in the past performance climbing shoes have always focused on certain types of holds; technical smearing, firm edging, steep, slab etc. But now the Sportiva Theory contains so much structural development that it promises to be the most adaptable performance climbing shoe you've ever worn. One hallmark of modern comp climbing is large volumes that you slap your feet onto, this requires mid foot flexibility. This shoe does that better than any other but how the Theory advances climbing shoe design is that this is not at the detriment to toe point power for launching off crimps as well. Sensitive - This word is thrown around a lot in climbing shoe descriptions and for good reason; when you're on insecure holds you want to feel what your fingers and toes are holding onto to make sure you're utilising everything out of that hold.
