Hi? How do I tell whether my tent material is Silnylon or not? I 've got a Vango Equinox 3.
Hello, Thanks heaps for your question. The first and definitive way is to look for the product tags sewn into the seams of the fly or inner, they should tell you. Failing that, I googled it and found this info on the Equinox 350: Flysheet : Protex® SPU-RP 3000 durable, silicone elastomer coated ripstop polyester Seam taped flysheet and groundsheet As a general rule manufacturers don’t factory tape Silnylon tents so that’s also a sign. So it appears that tent is a silicon coated polyester, not a silicone impregnated nylon. So Seam Grip should be all good to go, just make sure you thoroughly clean off any deteriorating coding before hand. If I can help further please don’t hesitate to email me on web@mountainequipment.com or phone me direct on 0431 586 988. Cheers, Matt
