Description

This is one of those pieces of climbing hardware that is just so damn useful! The Edelrid Spoc Pulley ticks the boxes of pulley, rescue pulley and ascender all in one hit. If you're only going to own one of those three things than just get this.

First having a capture pulley is the quickest and most efficient way to get a rescue set-up happening, whether it's a rock climbing or alpine crevasse rescue. No need to add blockers or brakes to it. The other thing is that the Edelrid Spoc can easily be used as a standard pulley for other rigging purposes so there's no issues there. And finally, it can easily be set up as quite an efficient ascender so if you have to take prussics or an ascender up a multi pitch or alpine route, why not just take the Edelrid Spoc?
