Description

Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash is a spray-on technical cleaner that adds UV protection and helps restore water repellency to tents, flysheets, awnings, tarps and packs. By removing dirt and contaminants that compromise durable water repellency, SolarWash helps fabric shed rain more effectively and protects synthetic fibres from sun degradation to extend gear life. The water-based formula is safe to use at home, is PFC-free and solvent-free, and keeps fabrics breathable for comfort in variable conditions.

Use on damp fabric after a quick rinse to lift grime from polyester or nylon weaves without harsh detergents. Simply spray, agitate with a soft brush or sponge, and rinse thoroughly. Regular maintenance with SolarWash revitalises performance before a full reproof is required, making it ideal for seasonal care of hiking tents, family shelters and adventure travel kit. For older or heavily used gear, follow with a dedicated reproofing treatment as per manufacturer guidance.
